Hi everyone.
It is the last
post in this course of English.
Until now, in
these two years studying dentistry, I have theoretical and practical courses.
In this semester "diagnosis" and "simulation" were hard
courses (almost all days I slept three or four hours). These courses require a
lot of time to study and I think that other courses as for example
"Promotion of health" and "Dentistry based on evidence",
they used time that could be used to study simulation or diagnosis. I would
take a course, as promotion (I don´t like and bored).
Dentistry is an
extensive career, lasts six years, the duration of the career for me is fine,
because we will work with different people and we must have all the knowledge
and skills to serve patients well. The workload is very hard, we are always
under stress, my point of view is that they should reduce a little the academic
load. What bothers me is that the teachers are aware of this, but they do
nothing.
The use of technology depends of situation, in
first year I practiced with "Simodont", is a 3D simulator, for
example simulates the different hardness of tissues of teeth (enamel, dentine
and pulp). The university could incorporate the virtual reality, it would be
very useful.
The teaching methods for me it is very good. I like the class, group
seminars. I would like to incorporate more frequently "Kahoot", it is
great app, makes learning friendlier, funny, dinamic, with gives and you can
share with other classmates.
